We are seeking an Area Manager to lead our Napier operations across both of our Port and Forestry businesses. Reporting to the General Manager Forestry, you will be responsible for driving operational and financial performance, creating a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with Qube standards, and leading teams to achieve strategic objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for Napier port and forestry operations including developing strategies to improve performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and port companies
- Drive operational and financial performance
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Manage budgets and necessary reporting requirements
- Foster a culture of safety and excellence
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to align regional goals and organisational objectives
- Minimum 10 years’ senior leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets
