We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead all operational activities in Napier, including stevedoring, log marshalling, and forestry operations. This role reports to the Area Manager and is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will coordinate resources, manage performance, and work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations across stevedoring, marshalling, and forestry divisions in Napier
- Ensure compliance with Qube’s safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Coordinate labour resources and monitor operational performance
- Liaise with customers, port companies, vessel agents, and other stakeholders
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
- Oversee invoicing, timesheets, and accurate reporting
- Minimum 5 years' operational leadership experience
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Computer literacy and moderate Microsoft Excel skills
- Practical thinker with multi-operational coordination experience
