ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Weighbridge team is to support the efficient and safe movement of cargo through the facility by performing a combination of tasks including data entry and truck logging. This ensures accurate record-keeping, maintains site cleanliness, and contributes to the smooth flow of operations. The position is a general clerical role and candidates will alternate between Weighbridge Operator-Tally-Clerk and general cleanliness duties of site while shift.

Position type: Casual

24/7Operations – This position includes primarily day shift, however night shifts and weekends and public holidays may be required.

*Please note – the work is seasonal and sporadic

Specific Responsibilities

Weighbridge Operator:

  • Responsible for accurate data entry
  • Tracks trucks weights for cargo delivery and collection
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with excel

Tally-Clerk:

  • Logs truck arrival and dispatch times
  • Records key weight data on dockets
  • Attention to detail is critical

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to work flexible hours across a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
  • Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment
