ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a safety-focused Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Mount Gambier. In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, inspection, maintenance and repair of Qube mobile machinery and ancillary equipment.

Specific duties for this role will include carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding and repairs, completing workshop maintenance activities, responding to equipment breakdowns, maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with Qube's health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
• Experience servicing and repairing heavy mobile equipment and machinery
• Current driver's licence required
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
• Demonstrated safety behaviours and experience
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
• Experience working within workshop, transport, ports or heavy industry environments (highly regarded)
