What's the role? 

We are looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to join the well-established Qube team in the Northern Goldfields, for the Thunderbox site operations. The primary role of the Diesel Fitter is to to undertake fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of company vehicles and machinery safely and efficiently. A suitable candidate will have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work under pressure and independently.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have: 

  • Suitable Trade Qualification or Certification 
  • Must have minimum 1 years’ qualified industry experience 
  • Demonstrated working experience with heavy vehicles & heavy machinery (Kenworth, Volvo & Mack Prime Movers, side-tippers, bowl tippers, belly dumpers, Cats, Cummins etc.) 
  • National Police Clearance – dated within last 12 months of application 
  • Good mechanical aptitude 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people 
  • Strong analytical thinker with an ability to make concise and compelling decisions 
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed
