What’s the role?

We are seeking experienced Front End Loader Operators to join the Qube team in Geraldton & the Midwest. These positions are suitable for both locally based operators in Geraldton or operators looking to fly-in/fly-out from Perth to the Abra minesite. Day to day responsibilities will predominantly consist of the safe & efficient operation of machinery, loading & unloading road trains with various products & materials for our Midwest operations.

 

What are we offering?   

  • Full-time positions, both residential & FIFO
  • Must be based in either Geraldton or Perth
  • Residential roster – 4/4/4 (4 days, 4 nights, 4 days off) 
  • FIFO roster – 8/6 - 7/7 (8-days on, 6-days off – 7-nights on, 7-days off)
  • Accommodation, meals & flights provided for FIFO only

Experience & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have: 

  • Must have valid Driver’s Licence 
  • Current Front-End Loader ticket 
  • Minimum of 12 months prior experience operating CAT 972, CAT 980, Komatsu WA 500 or similar 
  • Minimum of 12 months experience loading/unloading road trains – ideally single, double & triple combinations or more
  • Prior experience in a mining and/or FIFO working environment 
  • High-Risk Forklift Ticket – or ability to obtain/reinstate
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening  
  • National Police Clearancedated within the last 6 months or ability to obtain 
  • Traffic History Reportdated within the last 3 months or ability to obtain
  • Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) – or ability to obtain 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other operators  
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed   
  • Good knowledge of load restraint guidelines
