This is a hands-on commercial finance role with real influence. As Finance Business Partner for our 3PL division (Nexus Logistics), you’ll work directly with commercial and operational leaders to improve margin, challenge performance, shape pricing decisions and turn complex operational data into clear commercial insight. Power BI sits at the heart of how we report, so you'll bring the hands-on capability to shape and build the data models and dashboards the business runs on. It suits someone as comfortable challenging a GM on margin as they are building a data model.

• Commercial business partnering: Be the trusted finance partner to 3PL commercial and operations leaders, analysing pricing, margins and profitability by customer, lane or service line, and influencing day-to-day and strategic commercial decisions.
• Budgeting and forecasting: Lead the annual budget and periodic reforecasts for the 3PL division, owning the assumptions and building them with operational leaders.
• Performance reporting and insight: Report on key commercial metrics (revenue, gross margin, volume, rate variance) against budget and forecast, and provide month-end commentary on the operational and commercial drivers behind performance.
• Pricing, tenders and margin: Provide financial input into pricing, tenders and new business, and identify margin leakage, pricing anomalies and cost-to-serve issues, recommending corrective action.
• Power BI reporting: Shape, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models that give the business self-service visibility into pricing, margin and performance.
• Data and automation: Contribute to the data and analytics roadmap, champion best practice in data modelling, governance and integrity across ERP and data platform sources (e.g. Oracle Fusion, Snowflake), and drive automation of manual finance processes using tools such as Power Automate and Power Query.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA
• 5+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering — logistics, freight, transport or supply chain experience highly regarded
• Proven experience leading or owning a budget and forecast cycle
• Strong, hands-on Power BI capability — including DAX, Power Query and data modelling
• Experience with Oracle desirable; experience with Snowflake highly desired
• Confident influencing senior, non-finance stakeholders and explaining financial and data concepts clearly
• Genuine interest in data strategy, AI and conversational analytics, and how they can improve commercial and finance reporting
• Commercially minded, with strong attention to detail and a practical, iterative approach to problem-solving
