What's the role? 

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join the well-established Qube team Rockingham and Muchea depots. 

• Working on Transport Fleet Predominately Volvo Trucks
• Perform mechanical inspections and servicing (Preventative maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop supervisor and maintenance planner.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance tasks) as directed by the workshop supervisor and leading hand
• Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns immediately
• Complete any mechanical works as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturer
• Ensure all completed mechanical documentation are submitted to the maintenance planner for record keeping
• Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvement
• Liaise with workshop supervisor and leading hands to ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled

What are we offering?  

• Monday – Friday, permanent full-time

• $57.00 p/h + super on all hours

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have: 

• They must have Volvo truck experience is a highly desirable.
• Current Trade Certificate.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and fault-finding skills, coupled with an ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels are important.
• Ability to work safely, uphold safe practices and procedures in a regulated environment, in a small team environment.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
