About the Role:
We’re looking for a National Workshop Manager to lead the performance, safety, and efficiency of our Mechanical & Engineering workshops across New Zealand.
With over 7 workshop sites, you’ll oversee operations, machinery maintenance, and systems management—ensuring high standards across safety, compliance, and productivity. A key part of the role is leading and developing workshop teams and driving consistent performance and best practice across all locations.
Location: Tauranga
Status: Permanent Full-time, with flexibility for regular national travel
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead workshop health & safety, compliance, and performance
- Manage and develop workshop teams nationwide, including performance and capability
- Drive operational efficiency, KPIs, and reporting
- Oversee machinery servicing and repairs across sites
- Monitor budgets, costs, and workshop spend
- Manage tools, suppliers, and workshop resources
- Support and oversee all Workshop sites performance
Who we're after:
- NZQA Level 4 Automotive Heavy Engineering qualification (or NZQA‑recognised equivalent)
- 5+ years proven leadership/management experience within a mechanical workshop
- Strong mechanical and workshop operations knowledge
- Confident managing budgets, reporting, and KPIs
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-focused
