  We are currently seeking an experiences Operations Supervisor, to join our Gladstone Team.

• Safety: zero harm, Safety performance, compliance, safety leadership    

• Commercial:  Effective cost management, budget targets and business development  

• 7:7 roster  

• People: Productive, aligned and engaged work crews, training and development  

• Operational Excellence: Effective utilisation of resources (labour and equipment); Continuous improvement of Operational Processes.  

• Compliance: Oversee completion of driver inductions and that they are conducted effectively. Permits and licenses are valid and maintained, total adherence to site and road regulations.  

• Safety leadership: Manage drivers safely through their shift; pre-start checks processes including TRAMS / JSA are adhered to at all times, monitor and manage fatigue. Deliver against safety management plans and manage adherence within the team.  

•  Conduct Toolbox talks, delivering clear and consistent messages Incident response: Involvement and assistance.  

• Incident investigation: Support Operations Manager in conducting effective, high quality incident investigations. Responsible for the implementation of corrective actions  

• Accountability and performance: Team member’s accountabilities and responsibilities are understood, and employees are delivering to expectation. Address performance issues within the team (with Operations Manager support).  

About You  

• Experience in logistics/transport/mining services industry  

• Experience in Leading a Team  

• Ability to use optimisation techniques for scheduling, rostering and asset and labour utilisation   

• Understanding of safety and compliance practices and regulations in logistics industry including chain of responsibility.  

• Experience with drivers fatigue monitoring. 

• Able to work hand in hand with a demand planner assisting with fleet allocation. 

• Proven background in transport essential, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
