Qube Ports NZ is seeking an enthusiastic People & Culture Cadet to join our two-year Cadet Programme. Ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to build a long-term career in Human Resources and Employment Relations, this programme combines hands-on experience, mentoring, formal development, and exposure to operational environments across New Zealand.

You'll rotate through key areas of the People & Culture function while building practical skills that set the foundation for a long-term career. This is a paid two-year Cadetship Programme with the opportunity to progress into a permanent People & Culture role upon successful completion.

What You'll Experience:

  • Recruitment and onboarding
  • Learning & Development and eLearning design
  • Employee Relations and employment legislation exposure
  • HR systems and people administration
  • Exposure to workforce planning, talent development and organisational projects
  • Operational site visits and frontline business exposure
  • Mentoring, coaching, and structured development reviews
  • Lead and contribute to real People & Culture projects that deliver meaningful business outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Recently completed or currently completing a qualification in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business, Psychology or similar
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn
  • Strong organisation and administration skills
  • A genuine interest in people and workplace culture
