About the Role

As a Senior Software Developer in OneQube IT, you’ll collaborate within a large product team to design, build, and support software solutions that deliver a great customer experience. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle—translating business needs into technical outcomes, writing high-quality code, reviewing peer work, troubleshooting issues, and continuously improving how we build and ship software.

You’ll thrive in a non-hierarchical, “roll up your sleeves” environment, influencing outcomes while building strong partnerships with technology leaders, operating business units, and external vendors.

Location: Tauranga

Status: Full-Time, Permanent Position Monday - Friday

Specific Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and features
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented code aligned to best practice
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, improve performance, and remove bottlenecks
• Collaborate with teams to escalate/resolve complex issues quickly
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Who we're after:

• Relevant degree in IT plus 5 years experience minimum
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, design patterns, and development tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills (break down complex problems into workable solutions)
• Must be based in Tauranga area
