What's the role?

As a Crane and Transport Mechanic at Qube Heavy Lift, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our advanced fleet of cranes and transport equipment. You will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, contributing to the successful execution of complex lifting and transportation projects. The role will be based out of our Perth facility, with the occasional opportunity to work on projects around Australia.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on cranes and transport equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to optimize equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Certificate
  • Proven experience as a Crane and/or Transport Technician.
  • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence (HR Licence is preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work in various locations as required.
  • Computer literate
  • Valid rights to work within Australia
  • Air-conditioning Ticket (highly regarded but not mandatory)
  • Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screen
