ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Multi-Combination (MC) Truck Driver is to safely and efficiently operate MC trucks as used by Qube as part of its operations. Local and Linehaul transport operations to be completed.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Efficient operation of the site’s vehicles
  • Complete all necessary associated documentation (such as the preparation and signing of cartage dockets and service requests)
  • Follow appropriate company procedures
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product
  • Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care
  • Ensure compliance with all Main Roads Heavy vehicle operating guide lines
  • Ensure compliance with fatigue management
  • Ensure compliance with loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle specific permits

Qualifications and Experience

  • Multi-Combination (MC) Driver’s license
  • Forklift ticket
  • Appropriate license class for any other vehicles operated
  • Experience in driving heavy bulk vehicles and other machinery as used by Qube
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards, Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards
  • Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
  • Ability to work well within a small team environment

  • Good driving skills for heavy haulage trucks
  • Good skills in operating other equipment used by Qube
