The Role
This role of Senior Corporate Accountant will assist the Group Financial Controller with all financial aspects of Qube Holdings Ltd including statutory and management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, review of financial reporting by the operating businesses and other ad hoc financial projects, while facilitating appropriate interaction between the various business stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Managing monthly group consolidation including processing of consolidation journals, review of intercompany reconciliations and assist in the preparation of CFO pack to the Board;
- Managing the month end accounting process for Corporate entities and preparing the reconciliations on a monthly basis;
- Manage Divisional and Corporate overhead budget/forecast and perform monthly PL analysis by providing commentary, insights and presentations;
- Maintain accurate lease and financial data within Nomos One (internal lease management system), prepare lease schedules and AASB 16 journals;
- Manage various group finance & reporting projects including Group Accounting Policies, External Reporting System, etc. Develop project plans and timelines, continuously monitor project progress to ensure project objectives are achieved;
- Assist in the preparation of the half-year and full year financial reports of Qube Holdings Limited;
- Liaising with external auditors for the half-year review and year end audit process;
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of the banking financial covenant compliance and ABS submission;
- Monthly BAS & PAYG preparation;
- Recommend process improvements and participate in system upgrades;
- Provide other ad hoc support to the Qube Corporate and Divisional finance functions.
Core Competencies
- Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge involving the consolidation of large and complex companies;
- CPA or CA qualified;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent analytical skills;
- Experience in communicating and influencing senior stakeholders;
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel;
- Degree in commerce/business/accounting;
