The Opportunity
We have a full-time opportunity for an experienced Project Development Manager to join the Qube Heavy Lift Team, based in our Port of Brisbane office providing national coverage. As Project Development Manager, you will partner with our Business Development and Project Management teams, and will be responsible for sourcing, tendering, converting, developing and handover of major projects to Qube Heavy Lift Project Management Team.
This position reports to the National Business Development Manager Heavy Lift.
Key responsibilities
- Sourcing, review, evaluation and tendering of major projects and targeted works.
- Develop strong customer relationships to assist in understanding project objectives.
- Convert opportunities.
- Act as the lead contact with clients to develop project documentation and plans prior to execution handover.
- Support the Management team in developing project pipelines, budgets and resource plans.
- Assist as required in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions with clients and suppliers.
- Work with external stakeholders, industry bodies, and Governmental authorities across Australia to create efficient channels for project execution.
- Represent the Company at industry events and conferences.
- Assist Project Management teams to resolve contractual issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate and organised contract files and documentation, including commercial registers relating to client and contractual correspondence.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement through collaboration across the Management team.
- Support other business functions with knowledge and assistance as required.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company policies, internal business procedures and safety standards.
About you
- Previous experience required in a similar role within the logistics or renewable energy industry.
- Proven track record in developing projects from opportunity to execution.
- A strong understanding of OSOM logistics.
- Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously and within deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- A strong focus on developing client and stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work within a team environment to successfully achieve business goals.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage contractual issues.
- An ability to present commercial plans and opportunities to management.
- A willingness and ability to travel frequently.
- Presentable and professional, with strong organisational skills.
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint familiarity is required.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools is advantageous.
