About the role
Position: Container Repairer
If you have welding, steel cutting, painting and light fabrication experience, or have just recently completed a welding certificate, then this could be your opportunity to start a new career in the shipping container industry.
Location: Fraser Street, Timaru
Status: Full-time with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 5.00pm and Saturday as required 7.00am -12.00pm
Duties:
The purpose of this role is to repair rusted or damaged containers, flat racks and other equipment in accordance with approved repair estimates and IICL/industry standards.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct effective repairs as instructed by Depot Management to industry standard, client criteria and applicable regulatory requirements, using appropriate methods of cutting, joining, assembling, bending and straightening, painting and foaming.
- Provide the appropriate level of care of all Company property including refrigeration equipment, plant and tools.
- Undertake all training relevant to the repair of containers as required by Depot Management.
