About the Role
Position: Diesel Mechanic
We’re looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to carry out repair/maintenance work on a range of heavy off-road machinery, including loaders, material handlers, terminal tractors and forklifts. You’ll work in a fully equipped workshop with access to all the tooling and support you need to get the job done.
Location: Gisborne Port
Status: Full-time, 4 on / 4 off roster, working hours 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Specific Responsibilities
- Replacing / repairing machinery components
- Servicing machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts & trucks
- Repairs to attachments, grapples & log heads
Who we're after:
We are seeking candidates who are Level 4 Trade Certified (preferably A grade). You should be familiar with hydraulic systems, have a verified history of working on heavy vehicles / machinery, hold a Minimum Class 2 License, and demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and in a small team environment with a positive can-do attitude.
