Position: Container Repairer
We have an opportunity for a container repairer to join our busy high performing team based at our Neilson Street depot. If you have welding, steel cutting, painting and light fabrication experience, or have just recently completed a welding certificate, then this could be your opportunity to start a new career in the shipping container industry.
Location: Neilson Street, Onehunga
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 7:00am - 5.00pm and Saturday as required 7.00am -12.00pm
What You’ll Do
The purpose of this role is to repair rusted or damaged containers, flat racks and other equipment in accordance with approved repair estimates and IICL/industry standards.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct effective repairs as instructed by Depot Management to industry standard, client criteria and applicable regulatory requirements. Using appropriate methods of cutting, joining, assembling, bending and straightening, painting and foaming.
- Provide the appropriate level of care of all Company property including refrigeration equipment, plant and tools.
- Undertake all training relevant to the repair of containers as required by Depot Management.
