About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of heavy off‑road machinery, including loaders, material handlers, terminal tractors and forklifts. As a 24/7 operation, we rely on our mechanical team to keep our stevedoring and logistics equipment running around the clock.
Location: Tauranga
Status: Base $43.60 p/h Full-time, 4 on / 4 off roster, working hours 4:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Specific Responsibilities:
- Replacing / repairing machinery components
- Servicing machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts & trucks
- Repairs to attachments, grapples & log heads
Who we're after:
- Relevant trade qualification, and a minimum of three years of verified relevant experience required.
- Proven experience working on heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Solid understanding of hydraulic systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Bring a positive, can-do attitude to the role.
