About the Role:
Position: General Hand Port Workers
We are looking for port workers to work across our log marshalling and stevedoring operations, supporting vessel operations and cargo movements at the port. No previous port experience is required, as full training will be provided. You’ll be working outdoors in a team environment and must be available for 12‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and peak operational periods.
Location: Taranaki Port
Status: Casual position, as and when required basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Log marshalling and tallying
- Ticketing, marking, and recording log cargo
- General stevedoring duties on and around vessels
- Manual handling and securing of cargo
- Working alongside logging truck transport and vessel crews
Key Requirements:
- Valid NZ Driver License (Full Class 1 preferred)
- Legal right to work in New Zealand
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Reliable, physically fit, and able to work in all weather conditions
