The Role

We are seeking an experienced In Vehicle Management Systems technician to join the Qube Bulk team located in Geraldton, WA.

The IVMS Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and continuous improvement of In Vehicle Management Systems (IVMS) and associated technologies across Qube’s fleet. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of connected systems, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic site improvement initiatives.

  • Monday to Friday (with flexibility for additional hours/weekends)
  • Based in Geraldton, WA with travel to our Northwest sites as required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics, fault-finding, and technical analysis on IVMS, GPS tracking, DVR systems, fatigue monitoring, and other connected technologies.
  • Provide on-site technical support to resolve system issues.
  • Investigate and rectify faults promptly to minimise operational downtime.
  • Maintain sufficient stock of IVMS components and critical spares.
  • Manage and monitor regional stock levels, including equipment coordination and replenishment.
  • Liaise with site personnel to ensure availability of essential parts for ongoing operations.
  • Ensure effective integration and interoperability across all technologies.
  • Oversee and maintain integrated platforms
  • Provide support and maintenance for additional technologies
  • Participate in the development, testing, and rollout of new IVMS hardware and software features.
  • identify opportunities for system enhancements and contribute to technology-driven site improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Experience with IVMS, GPS tracking and associated connected vehicle technologies
  • Strong IT network and programming capability
  • High-level fault-finding, diagnostic and analytical skills
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Desired but not essential - Trade certificate in Auto Electrical, Light Vehicle, or Heavy Diesel
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
