What's the role? 

We are looking for an experienced Boiler Maker join the well-established Qube team in Port Hedland at the Utah Point Port facility.   

  • Residential position for locally-based applicants
  • Permanent, full-time position
  • 8-on/6-off – 7-on/7-off roster, day & night shifts
  • Competitive hourly rates, allowances + super for hours worked

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:  

  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Must have relevant trade certifications ie. Certificate III in Engineering, Fabrication & Welding qualifications
  • Current High Risk Work Licence
  • Must hold (or have ability to obtain) current Working at Heights, Confined Space Entry & Gas Testing Atmospheres tickets
  • Demonstrated working experience with heavy vehicles & heavy machinery
  • Must have prior experience in ports & logistics industries
  • Trailer buildering or body building fabrication experience
  • Prior heavy duty work experience with buckets welding and G.E.T replacement and repairs
  • Ability to read & interpret drawings and work to OEM design specs for repairs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people 
  • Strong analytical thinker with an ability to make concise and compelling decisions 
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed 
  • Must current hold or have ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
  • National Police Clearance (within 6 months validity) – or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening 
  • Good mechanical aptitude
