ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead the day-to-day management, movement and system transactions of critical spares within the Coastal Supply Hub. The role ensures urgent and routine material requirements are controlled accurately, safely and on time, while maintaining reliable inventory records, compliant documentation and clear communication with supply chain stakeholders.
Roster: 14 days on / 14 days off
Employment type: Full time - accepting both Local and FIFO applicants.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Requests, priorities and stakeholder coordination
- Monitor and respond to material requests, including break-ins, breakdowns and urgent after-hours requirements.
- Coordinate material requests and inventory enquiries with customers, vendors, contractors and supply chain stakeholders.
- Act as the primary Hub contact for vendors attending inspections.
- Communicate proactively so customer requirements, priorities and exceptions are understood and progressed.
- Inventory control and system transactions
- Receipt goods, allocate spares to stock locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Update material locations in SAP and cross-reference Stock on Hand (SOH) against I-Auditor reports.
- Complete stock counts and cycle counts within required timeframes.
- Identify, report and correct material discrepancies and inventory-location issues.
- Maintain specialist knowledge of inventory management systems and processes, and expedite inventory queries.
- Outbound, transport and transfer processing
- Pick and stage material requirements in designated outbound bays.
- Issue daily picks and confirm picks are completed and staged.
- Create consignment notes and update the Transport Schedule, Belt Log and Transport Plan.
- Complete transfers once proof of delivery (POD) is received.
- Monitor and rectify inbound and outbound Chain of Responsibility (CoR) non-conformance events to support safe material movement and load-restraint best practice.
- Controls, records and reporting
- Complete the daily minimum Standard Operating Tasks (STOs) and process STO requirements.
- Maintain the Excel register, including relevant MO numbers, dates and status information.
- Complete required I-Auditor forms and establish orderly document filing for compliance records.
- Maintain KPI reports and update OSR Purchase Request pricing when required.
- Develop, implement and maintain accurate procedures and policies relevant to the role.
- Team capability and operational support
- Train and coach warehouse officers in inventory systems and material-management processes.
- Encourage team members to take ownership of the end-to-end process and share knowledge across the team.
- Undertake preservation and maintenance activities as directed by RTIO.
- Operate a reach stacker and perform dogman and basic rigging duties when required and authorised.
- Decision-making and escalation
- Prioritise competing routine and urgent material requirements within approved processes.
- Escalate safety risks, inventory discrepancies, system issues, service delays and non-conformances to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Stop work where there is imminent danger or where the task cannot be completed safely or within required controls.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Car)
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Reach stacker licence
- Chain of Responsibility qualification
- Dogman licence
- Basic rigging licence
- Load Restraint training
Experience and systems
- At least three years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience using inventory management systems
- Specialised systems knowledge
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Warehouse Operations
