ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a skilled mechanic looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced forestry environment? We’re seeking an Infield Plant Mechanic to support our infield chipping operations and keep our specialised equipment running at peak performance.
In this role, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of a range of heavy forestry machinery, including skidders, feller-bunchers, and Peterson chippers. You’ll play a critical part in minimising downtime, ensuring safety, and supporting efficient daily operations in the field.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Minimum of two years across heavy/medium/light vehicle experience
- Minimum of two years post apprenticeship experience
- Experience in mobile plant equipment (Heavy Vehicle mobile mining equipment preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Safety-first mindset
- MR/HR truck license recommended but not preferred
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Service and maintain heavy forestry machinery
- Diagnose and fix breakdowns quickly
- Complete repairs and follow manufacturer guidelines
- Report faults and keep accurate records
- Work closely with the team to keep operations running smoothly
