About the Role:

Qube Ports NZ is seeking experienced and motivated people to join our Bluff stevedoring operation. We have opportunities available across a range of positions, including Ship's Crane Operators, Excavator Operators, Terminal Tractor Operators, and General Hand Stevedores.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with previous stevedoring, log vessel and forestry experience; however, we also welcome applications from those looking to start a career in stevedoring as a General Hand.

As a 24/7 operation, flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, is essential.

Location: Bluff Port

Status: Full-time, Part-time and Casual opportunities available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate cranes, excavators, terminal tractors, and other port equipment.
• Load and discharge cargo vessels efficiently and safely.
• Assist with vessel operations as part of a stevedoring team.
• Complete lashing, unlashing, cargo handling, and general stevedoring duties.
• Maintain high safety and operational standards at all times.

Key Requirements:

• Previous stevedoring experience preferred.
• Experience operating cranes, excavators, terminal tractors, or similar heavy machinery is highly regarded.
• Experience working with log vessels advantageous.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to work shift work in a 24/7 environment.
• Reliable, physically fit, and capable of working outdoors.
• Minimum Restricted NZ Driver's Licence.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
