What's the role?

We are seeking experienced Production Technicians to join the well-established Qube team at the Utah Point Bulk Handling Port Facility. These will be casual positions and suitable for locally-based applicants.

• Casual roles for local, Port Hedland based applicants only

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Valid tickets/licencing for various heavy machinery – or ability to obtain
• Ability to assist with the cargo in-load & out-load
• A strong history of safe work practices
• Ability to perform stockpile management and general clean up duties at the Handling Facility
• Ability to operate & refuel heavy equipment & machinery
• Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed
• Have an ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a team environment
• Must current hold or have ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months validity) – or ability to obtain one
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening 
• Good mechanical aptitude

It is preferable, but not essential, to have or have experience with the following:

• Prior experience in high-risk operating environments
• Prior experience in regulated working environments
• An understanding of the operational capabilities of machinery
• Experience operating WA500/WA900 Komatsu Front End Loaders
• Experience operating Watercarts, Service Trucks, Vac Trucks and Sweeper Trucks
• Prior Ship Loader, Control Room & Sample Station operating experience
• Any relevant tickets/licencing
